Sensori Design · Private beta

The environment is the intervention.

Sensori is a sensory-environment design practice for neurodivergent adults. Light, sound, temperature, texture, air — a room acts on the nervous system through describable channels, and every one of those channels can be designed. The first product, a bedroom design guide, is in private beta now.

The practice

Design, grounded in evidence

Sensori sits on a documented reference library — nine reference documents covering sensory processing research, neurodiversity design, environmental psychology, behavioural psychology, interior design, and architecture, plus synthesis documents that state Sensori's positions, including where the evidence is contested. Products compose from that base; they don't freelance beyond it.

Mechanism-first

Every recommendation names the mechanism it works through — how a surface, a light source, or a sound field changes sensory load. If the mechanism can't be named, the recommendation doesn't ship.

Provenance-audited

Every claim on every intervention card is traced to its home in the reference library and dated. Where the evidence is thin or contested, the card says so instead of smoothing it over.

Honest about its boundary

Sensori is environmental intervention, not clinical care. It doesn't assess, diagnose, or treat — and it tells you when the right next step is a qualified practitioner, not a redesign.

Composes against Dunn's Model of Sensory Processing and PAS 6463:2022 Design for the Mind (BSI), alongside Sensori's own reference library.

BG-01 · The Bedroom Design Guide

Design your bedroom for your nervous system

The bedroom is the highest-leverage room in the house: it's where the nervous system is supposed to down-regulate, and it's usually the room you can change with the least permission. The guide treats it as one integrated environment and works through it as a project — clear the sensory load first, automate what you can, and keep only a small nightly core.

126 pages, A4 PDF

Built to be skimmed in an hour or worked through over weeks — the structure holds either way.

40 interventions

Each card names what to do, the mechanism it works through, a cost band, and two friction ratings — how hard it is to set up, and how hard to keep going.

Five goals

Falling asleep, staying asleep, winding down, waking at a workable time, and feeling safe enough to rest. Every card serves at least one.

Evidence on the card

Claims are provenance-audited against the reference library. Where evidence quality varies, the card itself says so.

Seven guided paths

If one of these is you, the guide marks a path through the cards for it:

DSPD hEDS POTS MCAS / MCS Visual Stress ME/CFS & Long COVID Chronic Pain & Fibromyalgia

The guide pairs with the free Sensory Profile assessment for full interpretation — and stands alone for the beta read.

How the beta works

Free guide, honest feedback

  1. Join with your name and email. The download page unlocks straight away, and a confirmation email brings the PDF link with it.
  2. Read at your own pace. Cover-to-cover, dipping in, or letting it sit on your desk for a week — there's no homework.
  3. About a week in, a short feedback form arrives by email — around ten questions, roughly eight minutes. The last question asks whether you'd be open to a 45-minute call. "Written feedback only" is a perfectly fine answer.

This is a craft check, not a launch. The guide isn't for sale yet — you're reading it because honest feedback before strangers see it is worth more than praise. If it doesn't land for you, that's exactly the kind of thing worth saying.
